The main purpose of the Laboratory is to contribute to the development of scientific research and the production of knowledge. It is based on the basic principle of research-education interdependence and is oriented towards supporting the undergraduate and postgraduate study program.   

 

    Corfu and in general the entire Ionian area is of particular linguistic, historical and cultural interest due to its differentiation from the rest of Greece and the wider European area. The geostrategic position of the Ionian Islands played a very important role in this differentiation, which is reflected in the linguistic, historical and cultural documents which the respective political and military powers have conquered and which have been saved. After all, this very differentiation, as is known, was one of the reasons for the establishment of the Ionian University.
